Our History
The Community Counseling Center of Mercer County has provided comprehensive community behavioral health services since 1957. The Center was developed by a small dedicated core of volunteers who were sensitive to the mental health needs of Mercer County families. Today, as part of that caring tradition, the center is incorporated as a private, non-profit corporation under Section 501(C)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code and continues to diversify its services in response to the growing needs of our community.
The Center provides treatment, rehabilitation and support services through a wide range of services for children, adults, and families who are experiencing behavioral health concerns. There are service locations throughout Mercer County and most insurances are accepted. Seventy-five to eighty-five percent of the sevice participants are within the low/moderate income level.
