Annual Giving

While Community Counseling Center receives insurance payments and grants for the services we provide, the reimbursement we receive does not fully cover the cost for many of them. We also provide some services that have no funding at all.

Each year, Community Counseling Center conducts an annual appeal to provide financial support to those unfunded and underfunded programs, so that we can continue to provide vital services to our community and its residents.

Planned Giving

The term ‘planned giving’ describes commitments made by donors to transfer capital assets to a qualified charitable organization. Planned gifts are normally made from the donor’s accumulated assets as part of an overall estate plan.

In addition to the normal benefits of charitable giving, planned gifts may result in tax advantages or other income benefits. Work with your financial advisor and/or attorney to determine your best options.

Endowment Gifts

An endowment is a gift that is invested to create present and future income for Community Counseling Center. Every year, a portion of the income is used to support the mission and operating needs, while excess income is reinvested to grow the fund and protect it from inflationary pressures. Endowment gifts provide the agency with ongoing support to continue needed programs, capital needs for our buildings and to support client needs.

Charitable IRA Rollover

This provision allows those 70-1/2 years or older to give up to $100,000 from their IRA directly to a qualified charity without having to pay income taxes on the money. This is a popular gift option for individuals who meet the criteria and do not need the distribution. You may also see it referred to as a qualified charitable distribution (QCD).

Charitable Bequests

One of the easiest and most common ways of making a planned gift is through your will or other estate plan. Bequests can include gifts of cash, securities, real estate, life insurance and a wide variety of other assets. A bequest in a will can take the form of a set amount of money, a percentage of an estate, a specific asset or the naming of Community Counseling Center as a contingent beneficiary.
